Our mission is to empower our workshop participants and to increase participants' safety and well-being through verbal, emotional, and physical self-defense strategies. By learning from each other how to defend our bodies and enforce our boundaries in a variety of contexts (work, personal, familial), we augment our autonomy, self-confidence, and self-determination. Having a risk-reduction and intersectional approach, our self-defense workshops include spaces for sharing preventative strategies adapted to indoor, outdoor, and virtual sex work contexts, all while taking into consideration the unique situation and ability of each participant, and the multiple and intersecting forms of oppression that they are subject to. Our workshops also allow for the treatment of violence by providing a non-mixed and safe place to discuss, heal, and regain self-esteem and a sense of agency after an aggression. Finally, our collective exposes - and protests - the harms of systemic oppression and repressive anti-prostitution laws, which increase our exposure to violence and force us to take the task of our self-preservation into our own hands, as individuals and as a community.
